Golf Simulator Installation in Greater Boston Greater Boston Golf Simulators

Condos and brownstones in the city, Victorians in Newton and Brookline, and newer homes from Lexington to Milton.

Greater Boston is our home market. Our shop is in Norwood, and most of the towns inside Route 128 are a short drive away. That makes site visits easy to schedule and service calls quick.

It is also the area with the widest range of rooms. In the same week we might measure a Back Bay condo, a basement under a Newton Victorian and a garage in Lexington. Each one needs a different answer, and the right answer is not always the biggest simulator that fits.

City and close-in homes

In Boston condos and brownstones, the association comes before the tape measure. Most condo associations want a description of the work, a certificate of insurance and elevator reservations before anyone carries in a screen. Garden-level and basement units in brownstones often have low ceilings. Sound matters more than anywhere else, since the ball hitting the screen and the club hitting the mat both travel through floors. We plan isolation under the hitting area and talk through hours with you if the unit below is a neighbor.

In many city homes the better choice is a fold-away Murphy simulator. It gives a full screen and launch monitor when you want to play and closes into cabinetry when the room is a living room or office again.

Newton, Brookline, Belmont and Cambridge have a lot of Victorians, colonials and Tudors from the late 1800s to the 1930s. Basements in those houses have stone or brick foundations, low beams and pipes, and in many cases some water. A full swing is tough to fit. Garages are often small and detached. We look at every room in the house before recommending one, and we will say so if the best option is a smaller setup built around irons and short game.

Farther out, in Lexington, Winchester, Needham, Milton and Reading, there are more postwar colonials and new builds on old lots. Those houses usually have usable basements or attached garages. New construction gives the most freedom if we are involved before the foundation is poured.

Basement water and city heat

Older Boston-area basements are often damp. A simulator room needs a dry floor and steady humidity, so we check for water before anything else. If the basement takes on water in the spring, that gets fixed first. Turf, mats and electronics do not recover from a flood.

In condos and smaller houses the bigger issue is heat. A projector and gaming computer in a small closed room can warm it up fast. We plan ventilation for the equipment and make sure the room has enough cooling for summer use.

Rooms that work in Greater Boston

Murphy simulators in condos

A full simulator folds into cabinetry when you are done. It is the best fit for most city living rooms and home offices.

Basement bays under older homes

These are possible when the ceiling height and water allow it. We measure every player's swing before we commit.

Garage bays

Attached garages in the suburbs often have the height. A retractable screen keeps the parking.

Dedicated rooms in new builds

If you are building, plan the room with us early and get the ceiling, wiring and acoustics right from the start.

How a project runs in Greater Boston

Greater Boston jobs are the simplest to schedule because we are close. Site visits can usually happen within a week or two. For condos, we handle the association paperwork with you and book the elevator and loading dock for delivery day. Most residential installs take two to five days on site, and because we are nearby, follow-up visits for calibration or questions are quick.

  1. Step 1

    Tell us about the room

Use the design form to send photos and rough measurements. We reply within one business day with a first read on whether a simulator fits.

  2. Step 2

    Site visit

We laser-measure the room and model swing clearance for every player in the house, then look at power, lighting, ventilation and where the equipment will live.

  3. Step 3

    Design and proposal

You get a room plan and one price covering the simulator, screen, enclosure, installation, calibration and training.

  4. Step 4

    Room preparation

If the room needs framing, electrical or HVAC work, we coordinate it with your builder or bring in local trades and manage them.

  5. Step 5

    Installation

Most residential rooms take two to five days on site. Rooms that need construction first take longer.

  6. Step 6

    Calibration, training and service

We calibrate the launch monitor, set up your software and courses, train everyone who will use it, and stay on call afterward.

Common questions

Can I put a golf simulator in a Boston condo?
Often, yes. You need the association's approval, enough ceiling height for your swing and a plan for sound. A fold-away Murphy system is usually the best answer in city units.
How close are you to Boston?
Our shop is at 83 Morse St in Norwood, about 30 minutes from downtown without traffic.
My basement has a 7-foot ceiling. Is that enough?
Not for a full driver swing for most adults. It can work for putting, chipping and shorter clubs. We will measure and show you the realistic options, including the garage.
